Some videos and clips from here there and anywhere. Some of me, some of friends, some of inspirations. Enjoy!
Background: Walson Tai, the owner of the Calgary Climbing Centres in Calgary, approached me in 2011 with the idea of designing and creating a route from scratch and making a film of it. It was a fun and unique process that I thoroughly enjoyed. And now I realize just how cheesy I sound on camera 🙂
Background: Leavenworth, WA, 2009. My friend and former coach, Jamie Chong put this short video together during one of our frequent trips down to Washington in the spring of 2009. We went down with friends, Rich Kupskay, Sarah Austin and Ryan Olson. This video features Jamie sending The Practitioner, and me failing on Hanta Man (V9) and making up for it by a send on the aesthetically beautiful V7, The Shield.
Background: My very first (and so far, only) trip to Hueco Tanks, TX in the winter of 2008. It was a WICKED trip with great friends and in a desperately beautiful setting. I love Hueco and I will be back!
Background: Canadian Bouldering Nationals 2007, Ottawa, ON. A fun group of girls in a great atmosphere. Plus Ottawa is a dope city. All around a fantastic weekend and a great outcome!
Background: Canadian Nationals in Montreal, QC. My very first National Championship win! This is also the year that darkhorse Seth Mason went from 14th in qualifiers to dominating the men’s category in a tighty whitey Fleur de Lis outfit. Fantastic.
